Covid Safety

Proof of vaccination required beginning September 8.

Beginning September 8, Cinema 21—along with Living Room Theaters, the Hollywood Theatre, Laurelhurst Theater and Broadway Metro in Eugene—will begin requiring proof of vaccination for all who enter the theater.

Additionally, masks are required in all areas of the theater while not actively eating or drinking.

We join several arts & entertainment venues and sports teams locally that currently require proof of vaccination. The health and well-being of our patrons and our community at large is a priority for us. We believe this step will help keep our pratrons and staff safer and allow for us to remain open through this current wave of the pandemic.

For proof of vaccination, we will accept one of the following:
  • your physical vaccination card
  • a clear, legible photo of your vaccination card
  • a digital vaccination record
  • a negative result from a COVID-19 test (PCR only; test taken within 48 hours)
You may also be asked to show your photo ID along with proof of vaccination.

If you arrive at the theater without proof of vaccination, you will be denied entry. Refunds can be issued for those who bought tickets in advance.

We are happy to share the joy of cinema with our patrons, and we're grateful for everyone’s efforts to keep movie-going safe and enjoyable. If you haven’t already, please get vaccinated.

Upgraded HVAC systems.

In early May we had new components added to all of our HVAC units at the theater. These air filtration upgrades include Photohydroionization, needlepoint ionization and MERV 13 filters.  Combined these technologies help to keep our air handlers clean and significantly reduce viruses, bacteria, molds, odors and particulates in our air. These are ozone-free devices.
